The chips, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, continue to earn praise. Special mention goes to the battered sausages, often described as a must-try. Customers enjoy the straightforward cash-only payment process, keeping transactions smooth and speedy. The late-night food option adds to its popularity, especially among those looking for quick bites after hours.
The cash-only payment policy can be a drawback for some diners, especially those unprepared for this quirk. During peak times, finding a table can be challenging, which may lead to longer wait times for eager patrons keen on diving into their fish and chips. A few critics note the restaurant can get busy, particularly on Fridays, impacting the overall dining experience. Additionally, while the menu is extensive, some customers wish for vegetarian options beyond the veggie burger.
Absolutely Delicious! The fish and chips were amazing, cooked to perfection, super crispy and full of flavour. The battered sausages are also a must-try, perfectly cooked and so tasty. Me and my work colleagues always get our lunch from George’s Fish Bar as it’s consistently delicious. The owner is always so nice and friendly, which makes the experience even better. Highly recommended!-

Established for over 40 years, the original Georges Fish shop that started in St Anne's road N13. Lovely fish and chips, scampi and other starters. It gets very busy,, especially Fridays. Cash only .
Fresh fish not deep frozen - that's what makes this place the no1 in the area. Fresh fish, light batter NOT oily, chips are light and wow I was blown away. INCREDIBLE! It's miles better than all of the others in the area by a mile. I overheard regulars who drive down from Harlow! Yes it's THAT good. The other places use older reused oil and deep frozen fish)
A truly beautiful experience here everytime. Great friendly service from a wonderful team. My best fish & chips experience. Everything is prepared where you can see. Note, if you're going on a Friday try to be early as good food sells. Waiting time varies depending on the day and time. This place is flexible therefore you can have a few in your party, however it is a small place that's prepared to accommodate where possible.
Superb fish and chips. Lovely sausage in batter too. Worth coming to.
